Like everything in life that has value, roles at Empire are highly competitive. And as a business, we're looking to hire the most skilled people in a purely merit-based process. We pay competitive salaries and we're looking for high performance.

All jobs are fully remote and not necessarily based in the locations listed below. Locations are added because they're required by most of the job board partners we use. When applying, pick any location as this will not affect your application.
But for some roles, we do hire candidates based in Europe only. Job descriptions will clearly state this when its the case.
And as a reminder, we offer consultancy-based contracts - straightforward contracts focused purely on financial remuneration. No additional frills – just direct, competitive cash compensation.

We hire on an independent contractor/consultant basis only and we provide cash compensation. We also provide flexible working hours and time-off, an async setting, financial support for professional development, and a laptop grant after 3 years with us.

Most of our team is based in Europe so we mostly observe the standard Monday - Friday, 9ish am - 6ish pm Central European time. But because we have colleagues from Seattle to Australia - and many places in between - there's flexibility. What matters is that you communicate often and effectively, are responsive, and deliver results.

The onboarding process begins once a job offer has been accepted. Even before your first day, we'll share resources to help the transition into your new role. Once you're fully onboard, we'll guide you through your first days and weeks with general resources as well as team-specific material.

Teams will have a specific suite/stack of tools they use. Here are a few we use company wide: Discord, Slack, Confluence, Jira, Bitwarden, Figma and Loom.

While the exact process may differ depending on the role, our process is usually as follows:
1. We'll review your CV + initial application (copy + paste apps from ChatGPT will almost always get rejected)
2. First shortlist of candidates will get invited to a skills assessment
3. Depending on the role, you'll then be invited to an async interview or a first chat with a team member (usually 30 mins.)
4. There will be a final chat with the Hiring Manager (usually 20 - 30 mins.)
5. For most roles, we'll perform 2-3 reference checks with past managers/supervisors

- TeamTailor > our ATS and careers page platform used to publish jobs and review all applications
- GoogleMeets > for real-time video interviews
- HireFlix > for async interviews
- CodeAid > for technical assessments
- Google Forms > for most non-technical assessments

Waiting for feedback can be challenging, especially when job hunting or considering several job offers at once.
At CSGOEmpire, reviewing the hundreds of applications we receive involves several team members, all of whom wear multiple hats while juggling several competing priorities at once. And while we aim to respond to all candidates within 2 weeks of receiving their application, this isn't always possible.
That being said, we’re actively working on streamlining our internal processes to shorten wait times when we can. And when we can’t we’ll try to share regular updates explaining the delays (examples include key stakeholders being out of office, limited team availability, consolidating feedback from several people, or massive releases/projects with tight deadlines).
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we refine our processes. And rest assured that we will get back to you with feedback as quickly as we can manage to do so!

We’re an incredibly friendly, casual (as opposed to suit-and-tie), and loving group, but we don’t compromise on performance, as any top-tier team member would want from their team!
